Brief Description:

Yves Dandin was born in Port-au-Prince on June 14, 1952. He was an accountant in his home-country at Dufort et Company. Dandin was a pet lover. In Haiti, he had rabbits, pigeons, and other types of birds. He cried inconsolably when his rooster died. Dandin moved to New York City in December 1981 and was self-employed as a Medallion Driver. The Haitian was a brilliant checkers player; he won an award in an international tournament in New York.

The former accountant was the older brother of Radio Tele Kiskeya Director Marvel Dandin. Dandin went out of his way to take care of other’s needs. He was a respectable man, yet had a great sense of humor, was filled with wisdom, integrity, and lived for his family. He and his wife, Horma Mondésir Dandin, had three children: Politchevick, Daphne, and Melissa Dandin.
